Lack of Job Opportunities here pays dividends later on for OFW’s
The Philippines is full of natural possessions varied from North to South, and yet many Filipinos opted to go out of the country to seek greener pastures. Though working abroad can be financially worthwhile, performing double overtimes stresses them a lot and ends up with less time to rest. True Filipinos ( i.e. Penpals or Pinays with foreign husbands or Medical Professionals) love to be home and be near to their family. They may have settled elsewhere but deep inside their hearts, they want to be home.
Now that they have the means, they can now afford to buy the good life in the Philippines that’s close to America. In hindsight, they get the best of both worlds.
So, if you are Filipino who got American citizenship, the Philippine law allows you to have dual citizenship. Your spouse may be barred from owning a decent property here, but with Filipino blood running in your veins, you can do just that and the good part, they can get it at a fraction of a cost.
